Social Media Manager

Ideal candidate will be able to perform many different types of tasks and have solid computer skills.
The ability to handle confidential matters and to be professional is essential.
Minimal travel to races/events may eventually be required.
Related work experience preferred but not mandatory.

This is a part-time position that can be performed from any location.
Opportunity to grow to full-time position if desired.

It is okay for you to have additional/supplemental employment, but it is essential that you have flexibility with your other work schedule(s) so as to be available when needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Works with team to develop marketing strategy for clients so as best to position products/etc.
  • Manages client social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) to write, edit, and post relevant and timely content
  • Handles interaction with customers/fans via client’s social media accounts
  • Writes press releases for client’s new products or race teams
  • Prepares marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
  • Performs small graphic-design tasks as needed
  • Makes minor updates to client websites and posts content, news, etc.
  • Applies best practices in social search, content tagging and metadata strategies to enhance content relevance and social channel impact
  • Keeps promotional materials ready by maintaining repository of graphics and other marketing-related items

  • Automotive/motorsports knowledge is a MUST
  • Excellent written and communication skills with proper grammar
  • Reliability and dependability
  • Technical expertise with social/digital platforms
  • Working knowledge of advertising concepts
  • Creative mindset and willingness to learn
  • Reliable, self-starter who finishes tasks assigned
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Familiarity with forced induction systems is a bonus
